Founder | President
Paul founded Teamworks Communications, Inc. | TeamworksCom in 1995. Since then, he has helped early-stage and leading companies develop and create integrated online and content marketing solutions that express customer value, build brands and foster engaging relationships.
Before TeamworksCom, he developed his strategic and problem-solving skills at a number of nationally recognized advertising agencies including Goldberg, Moser, O’Neill and Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco.
Paul was also one of two partners who opened the San Francisco office of CKSPartners where his contributions quadrupled the agency’s size and billings while gaining national recognition for the quality of work. While there, he established the media planning partnerships for CKS and lead the creative team responsible for developing all of the advertising and communications for Steve Jobs and NeXT.
While at Apple, he developed and refined an integrated approach to marketing communications as Creative Director responsible for the Macintosh product division. The results of his effort and the industry-recognized team that he assembled helped Apple achieve the largest share of market in the company’s history while solidifying its position as one of the world’s most recognized and approachable brands. The communications he developed and produced also gained industry-wide recognition for excellence in the category.
Paul is a featured contributor and guest blogger for the popular online blogs SocialMediaToday, Business2Community, and others. His work has been recognized and published internationally by leading communications organizations including The One Show, The Clios, Communications Arts Magazine, AIGA, The New York Art Directors Club, Graphis and many more.
Paul is also an honors graduate of the Art Center College of Design and has been a long time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Lauren is an experienced brand strategist, designer and communications professional who spent 12 years helping tech companies break through the crowd.
She has a varied background in marketing, user experience design and project management, but the common threads through everything are strategy, creativity, storytelling and an insatiable curiosity.
Since returning from a grand “round the world” pilgrimage in 2010, she focuses her extensive talents as a TeamworksCom partner on helping our clients make a bigger impact. Lauren creates websites that tell powerful stories and engage the right people.
She believes that when you shine your light brightly on your value, people who are hungry for what you offer will connect with you. Her unique experience as both a storyteller and website designer helps her bring memorable brand stories to life and deliver them across devices of every form.
Lauren previously served as Director of Marketing for Marketron International, a mid-sized software company and as Vice President at Schwartz Communications, a technology PR firm.
Over the years, she has developed loads of presentations, web content, case studies, brochures and high stakes communications. She also designed a social media application, a text messaging ad platform and an e-course. One of her biggest thrills was when a CERN physicist called her a “nerd in disguise.”
Jim started his career as an accomplished freelance illustrator and soon expanded his abilities to developing storyboards and illustration with West End Studios in San Francisco. With extensive experience in web site development process, Jim’s attention to detail is unmatched.
He has produced numerous illustrations and campaign concepts for consumer, business-to-business and hi-tech brands and has worked for major ad agencies in San Francisco including J. Walter Thompson, Foote, Cone & Belding, Young and Rubicam, Saatchi and Saatchi and many more.
He brings to Teamworks Communications advanced skills in web production, digital graphics and design, interactive web presentations and more.
Jim has also shared his passion for traditional illustration, digital illustration and image creation with his students as an instructor at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. His credentials include instruction in Heads & Hands Drawing, Photoshop and Digital Paint.
In his spare time Jim is also a Visitor Guide at the California Academy of Sciences. In collaboration with them, he has produced and illustrated several coloring books and posters for the island children of Sao Tome and Principe off the coast of West Africa.
After attending UCLA in Southern California, Heather took a glamorous and exciting path through the advertising industry working as a senior producer and studio manager for some of the most well-known photographers in San Francisco.
Before settling in her current position as Chief Financial Office at Teamworks Communications Inc., Heather gained experience running all facets of a small business and consulting organization.
Her experience includes customer relations, accounting, finance, operations, project management, facilities management, audit oversight, and tax reporting.
Heather brings a unique, insider perspective to the financial mechanics and administration of TeamworksCom.
Her hands-on experience in managing the high-pressure and fast-paced deadlines in film and image and video production has taught her to be resourceful and imaginative in solving problems with limited resources.
All necessary skills that are put to the test every day in an efficient organization focused on client needs like TeamworksCom.
As a long-term partner, Peter brings a unique set of skills to his relationship with TeamworkCom. He specializes in online content, media relations, crisis communications planning + response, and public affairs.
His background includes partner and senior vice president positions at The PBN Company—one of the top issues management firms in the US. While there, Peter held key managerial roles in high profile projects that included the Huntington Beach Oil Spill, President and Mrs. Gorbachev’s Bay Area Visit, the Clio Awards and work for Unocal, TRW and Irwin Memorial Blood Centers. He has also held senior positions at KRON-TV/San Francisco, WCVB-TV/Boston, and NBC Network News.
Working closely with us on a number of clients, including MJMMG, Peter draws upon his diverse experience to develop and implement integrated online communications programs that help our clients achieve their strategic objectives.
His consulting office, Profile Strategies, provides services to Chevron, Brookfield Properties, Yosemite Conservancy, Yerba Buena Community Benefit District and TeamworksCom.
Peter is the recipient of many communications industry awards. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Boston College.
Mario is an accomplished communications professional hybrid who blends the skills of a graphic designer with the technical acumen of a seasoned computer programmer.
For over 18 years, Mario has designed and developed graphics and web-based technology solutions for companies in the technology, retail, hospitality, and real estate categories.
As a graduate of the San Francisco Art Academy, Mario’s career began in San Francisco. His work experience continued at Wes Wayne Advertising, 22squared and Godfry Design where he developed award-winning communications solutions for a wide range of clients including Marriott Hotels, Publix, Shoe Carnival, D.R Horton Homes, JMC Communities, Diageo, Toyota and many more.
Mario has also become a proficient and enthusiastic developer on the open source WordPress platform because of its power, simplicity and ever-expanding worldwide developer community that continues to innovate and add capabilities to this powerful development environment.
Mario’s work has been published in How magazine and he has won awards for the quality and originality of his solutions.
